What ContractorCounter actually is
ContractorCounter runs entirely in a web browser — there is nothing to install, and it works the same on Windows, macOS, and an iPad. You open a PDF drawing, calibrate the scale once, then measure lengths, areas and volumes, place count marks on symbols, add callouts and stamps, and export the marked-up sheet. Measured quantities can flow into a bill of quantities you price yourself. Teams share a workspace by invite and mark up the same drawing at the same time with live cursors.

What it costs, stated plainly
Pro is US$14/month, or US$140 billed yearly. Team is US$10/seat per month. There is also a Lifetime licence at US$249 one-time. New accounts get a 3-day free trial that requires a card up front — the card is required to start it, so decide inside the trial window if you do not want to be billed. There is no permanent free tier, and the pricing page is the authoritative version of all of this.

What ContractorCounter does not do
There is no offline mode. It is a browser application, and with no connection you cannot open your drawings — if you work in basements or on remote sites without signal, that alone may rule it out. It is not a full cost-database estimating suite: there are no pre-loaded assembly libraries or regional labour rates, so it gives you accurate quantities and you supply the pricing. It does not replace CAD or a document-control platform. And it is a young product, so the ecosystem of integrations around older desktop packages does not exist here yet.

Who should choose something else
If your shop runs on a specific assembly library, or you need per-seat desktop licences your IT department already manages, a traditional desktop package will fit better than we will. If you want the software to produce a priced estimate with no rate input from you, you want an estimating suite, not a takeoff tool.
