Copying, Cutting, and Pasting Markups
Clipboard actions reduce repeated drafting when similar notes, shapes, or symbols are needed again. They work on the canvas and from the Markup List, and the clipboard is shared across the whole workspace.

Copy, cut, paste, paste in place, and duplicate work from the Edit menu, keyboard, and Markup List.
Copy and paste

Select the markup
Use Select mode (V) or the Markup List to choose one or more objects.

Copy or cut
Press Ctrl/Cmd+C to copy or Ctrl/Cmd+X to cut. Cut removes the original once the copy is placed.

Paste
Press Ctrl/Cmd+V to paste into the active view, or Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+V to paste in place at the exact original coordinates.
Duplicate and delete

Duplicate in one step
Press Ctrl/Cmd+D to duplicate the selection without touching the clipboard.

Delete what you don't need
Press Delete or Backspace, or use the Markup List context menu, to remove selected markups. Undo (Ctrl/Cmd+Z) brings them back.
Paste across drawings
Snapshot captures can be pasted onto a different page or a different open drawing in the same workspace — useful for carrying a detail, legend, or note between sheets.
Paste external images
Screenshots and copied image files can be pasted into the active drawing as image markups. Very large images are compressed before placement or rejected with a message if the browser cannot safely prepare them. Web pages that copy only HTML or a remote image link are not treated as drawing images.
