Splitting and Merging Count Groups
Splitting and merging count groups keeps takeoff totals clean when markers were placed in the wrong group or when similar groups need to be combined.

Count lifecycle actions are available from the Markup List context menu.
Split count markers

Select count markers
Choose the count marker or count group member that should leave its current group.

Use Split
Use Split Count for the selected markers, or Split All in Group to break the whole group apart, from the Markup List context menu.

Rename the result
Give the new group a clear subject so totals remain understandable.
Merge count groups
- 1
Select compatible counts
Select at least two count markers or groups that represent the same item.

Use Merge
Choose Merge Count Groups from the Markup List context menu.

Review totals
Check that the merged group name, shape, and total are correct before exporting or linking to BoQ.
