Building a Bill of Quantities from Markups

BoQ is included with every active plan (Pro, Team, Lifetime) and when you try for free. If your trial has ended or a payment is past due, BoQ actions pause until the subscription is active — locked BoQ controls open Plan & Billing in Settings.

Start with calibrated length, area, volume, perimeter, or count markups. Give each markup or group a clear subject so the quantity is easy to identify later.

   Open the BoQ panel

   Show the Bill of Quantities pane from the workspace layout presets if it is hidden — Three Panel and BoQ Focus both include it.

   Create rows

   Add a heading row for the trade or work package, then item rows beneath it with description, quantity, unit, rate, and category (Materials, Labor, Equipment, or Allowance).

   Link drawing quantities

   Link an item row to the relevant measurement or count markup so edits to the markup keep the BoQ quantity aligned automatically.

Use descriptive markup names and group labels. A reviewer should be able to jump from the BoQ row back to the drawing evidence without guessing what was measured.
