Recalibrating After Scale Changes

Some drawing sets contain mixed scales or scanned pages. Recalibration keeps measurement values tied to the actual page scale you are using.

Use a second known dimension after calibration to catch scale or page-size problems early.

Know when to recalibrate

  1. 1

    Check mixed-scale PDFs

Treat each page with a different printed scale as a separate calibration risk.

  2. 2

    Watch scanned drawings

Scanned sheets may not match the printed title block scale exactly.

  3. 3

    Recheck after replacement

If a drawing file is replaced or rotated, confirm measurements still match known dimensions.

Recalibrate safely

  1. 1

    Pick a clear dimension

Use the longest reliable printed dimension available.

  2. 2

    Set scale again

Run Set Scale and enter the real length and unit.

  3. 3

    Review existing quantities

Check existing measurements after scale changes before relying on totals.
