Using AI Chat with Drawings
AI chat is included with active plans and when you try for free. It can inspect drawing pages, answer questions about the sheet, and propose markup actions — but every answer and proposed action should be reviewed before commercial use.

AI chat works best with clear drawing context, selected pages, or captured regions.
Ask a drawing question
- 1
Open the chat pane
Use a layout preset that shows chat beside the drawing (Three Panel or Drawing & Chat).
- 2
Attach drawing context
Attach the active page, a page range, or a snapshot region (Snapshot Region tool > Ask AI) so the model sees exactly what you are asking about.
- 3
Choose a model
Standard is the fast everyday model; Pro reasons more deeply and costs slightly more credits per turn.
- 4
Review the answer
Check the answer against the drawing and your estimating assumptions before acting on it.
Credits and limits
Agent usage is measured in credits across rolling windows. Pro and Team (including the trial) include 200 credits per 5-hour session, 400 per 24 hours, and 1,000 per 7 days; Lifetime includes 150, 300, and 700 for the same windows. A typical Standard turn uses about 3 credits and a Pro turn about 4 — attaching many drawing pages uses more. Settings > Usage shows live meters, reset countdowns, and top-up packs; top-up credits never expire and extend the weekly budget.
Use precise context
For best results, include page references, captured regions, visible markups, or BoQ context instead of asking broad questions about an entire project.
