Panels
Using Visual Search
Visual search is part of the Search panel. It compares a captured drawing region against the active drawing when text search is not enough, which is useful for symbols, repeated details, and image-based drawing areas.

Capture a relevant drawing region before asking the system to inspect visual content.
Run visual search
- 1
Open Search
Open the Search panel from the sidebar rail and switch to Visual Search.
- 2
Capture the target area
Use Get Rectangle to capture a focused region instead of a full sheet when possible.
- 3
Tune options
Adjust sensitivity, rotation search, colour filtering, or fine-detail search before running the search.
- 4
Review matches
Inspect returned locations before creating markups or counts from the result context actions.
Use text search first when possible
If the drawing has searchable labels, the Search panel is usually more deterministic. Use visual search for symbols, image-only pages, and visual similarity work.
