Locking and Unlocking Markups
Locking is useful after review callouts, counts, measurements, or signatures are placed correctly and should not be shifted by mistake.

Locked markups remain visible but resist editing until unlocked.
Lock a markup
- 1
Select the object
Choose the markup on the drawing, in the Layers panel, or in the Markup List.
- 2
Turn on Lock
Tick the Lock checkbox in the Properties panel, use the lock toggle in the Layers panel, or choose Edit > Lock from the menu bar.
- 3
Confirm before export
Locked markups still export when visible; lock state only protects editing.
Unlock a markup
- 1
Find the locked item
Use the Layers panel or the Markup List if the object is hard to select on the drawing — the list shows a lock icon on locked rows.
- 2
Use Unlock
Toggle the lock control off, then edit or move the markup normally.
